In this tiny project, we used a bit of electronics to push the climate control button every few minutes.

Our workspace was originally a meeting room, and as such, would be occupied sporadically The powers-that-be decided that such a room should only be ventilated when somebody pressed the climate control button, indicating that it was in use.

Quick and dirty

The problem is that many years later, it is just a regular office workspace. Instead of having to press the button every half hour, I hacked together this small apparatus to do the clicking for us.

It's a servo controlled by an Arduino and powered by a cheap USB battery bank that presses the button every few minutes, saving us the hassle and time of doing this highly repetitive and demeaning action ourselves.
